Sponsored Showjumping Rider | Carla Bolam

Carla runs her own equestrian business in producing young horses through the grades of competition from novice level to Grand Prix show jumping and dabble in a little dressage too. Her goals are to keep producing horses for top level competition and she would love to see a horse I’ve produced represent Great Britain!

She has a passion for givin horses the best start and helping riders achieve their goals. A lot of riders would probably say her favourite word would probably be straightness as she tends to use that a lot when she’s on the ground. Carla is a workaholic but loves to see horses progress with confidence because they want to do the job.

Some of her biggest achievements would be producing 3 Grand Prix jumpers, one has just been picked for the nations cup team, producing a couple of dressage horses through the grades and seeing one of the most talented young horses out in Holland jumping consistently after being started with her, a future team horse for sure.

Carla started at a very young age jumping ponies and went through pony club then onto BSJA. Her mum took her all over the country to jump qualifiers to give her a leg up in this game, it’s a lot of work but dreams can become reality.

Her horses are

Quality street – Sweetie is the oldest one she has, a 10yr old chestnut mare jumping Grand Prix successfully a horse she calls my little pocket rocket 🚀.

Inspiratie W aka Sprite – He has just stepped up to 1.40 and she hope to be competitive in some bigger classes with him as soon as he gets to grips with the height, he is a real character who everyone likes.

Inelaheleen W – An 8yr old mare with a lot of ability a late starter having had a couple of foals a real sweet mare who so far has been a pleasure to produce.

Carla has a few young ones that will be making an appearance as and when they are ready to go and compete she’s a firm believer in they have to be right to be able to enjoy the job.
